Does that yak come with the Mirage Drive system? And if it did...How do you like it...

I am asking because i am looking at purchasing a Hobie Outback...and was wondering your thoughts on the Mirage Drive system.

Love the hands free operation of the mirage drive. Plus its alot quiter than paddleing. Also no paddle drip on your head to.
You gotta try it out, 1st time I did I sold my Drifter & get me the outback.
Even got the turbo fins now, helps it go much faster.

eastyaker welcome to TKF and the addiction.
I have a Hobie Revolution on my Christmas list but don't think
Santa can afford it this year. Dam property taxes are over $4500
this year. I like the Outback but I REALLY like the Revolution.
Try it before you decide. You will like it @ the same price.

OMG property taxes...i know what you mean...I live in edge of two counties...pay property taxes in one and school taxes in the other county..They double dipped me...LOL.

Hoping for my sales Incentive check...that will purchase my Hobie...Fingers cross 8)

eastyaker SWEEEEET on the Revo let me know how you like it. I am really interested in how it handles fishing all day. I have only "tried" it in the pool at FTU.

Bluffer are the turbo fins longer so you need even deeper water for them ??

Ya theyre about 2in longer & a inch or so wider. I still run shallow with em also. Just keep the fins at the upward posistion or top of the stroke & "short stroke" with the peddles. Works good.
