Trolling motor mount for Native Titian Kayak ...

Post by willee »

Since the dealers are out of stock on these I built my own.
Used a 1" Phenolic tube instead of a metal tube.
Fairly easy to make.
Set up for a transom mount style trolling motor.

Pretty slick. I think I'd add angled brace (like plywood) to help support the vertical portion. Paint it black and it'll look almost factory made.

This.
Without Neumie's angle brace, the thrust on the end of the motor arm lever will fatigue and split the wood in the joint.
You could simply glue-in the angle brace, holding cure time with a wood clamp.
