McClain Trailer

Post by penubly »

I saw that Academy carries simple trailers by McClain - https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/mcclai ... tid=161402

Anyone have any experience with them?

It will make the base for a good kayak trailer. I made mine with a used one that I bought off of craigslist.it was like new for half price. I made mine to carry two kayaks and two bikes. I pulled i almost every weekend loacaly and all over behind my travel trailer. Best of lick.........cC

As Copano mentioned, makes a great foundation for a 1 or 2 kayak hauler. I would upgrade the wheels/tires to 10 or 12 inches to cut down the high speed revolutions.

also consider by the time you're done, how much have you saved over the 2-boat configured Malone that's ready to go.

I like the bike + boat idea, though.
