I had a ladder rack for hauling my yaks on my old truck bolted on. I sold my truck and bought a new one, but kept rack. I am trying to figure a way that I can attach it when I need it and take it off when I don’t. I am thinking of using c clamps or clamps for attaching a camper shell. Has anybody done this?

I have not done it before. But I think the clamps for camper shell are the answer because I have camper shell on my truck and the clamps are super beefy.

C-clamps would not be my first choice. I have had them loosen when tying things down on occasion. Camper shell clamps on the other hand have never loosened in my 40 years of using them.

Thanks for the advice. I was leaning more towards the camper shell clamps too
