Add-on pedal drive for ANY kayak?
Re: Add-on pedal drive for ANY kayak?
Interesting. I see that it's fitted on several sit in kayaks but I don't see it working well on sit on top kayaks with any type of center console. Additionally, I would see issues with seat compatibility.

You are perfectly correct.
However, it is great to see someone thinking about simply adding a pedal system onto an existing $400.00 kayak instead of making an all-new-one. I know, and appreciate, marketing...but $2,500 /$3,500.00 or more for a $100.00 worth of plastic and a bicycle setup gets ridiculous.
It was only a matter of time for inventors to move in this direction.
Might be a market for all of those used open cockpit SINKs now, too. I love progress.

I agree, they have the market cornered and can charge whatever they want. It's crazy that a kayak costs more than some used fishing boats
