Hi friend,
That's a Ritchie XP-99W (white) kayaker - the bungee tie-down base is a separate part.
I've had good luck with Hodges marine for a couple of Ritchie purchases

The XP-99 has a nice big display, easy to read with old/tired eyes.
Of course Ritchie is the last word in marine compasses.

I have been through too many Suunto compasses, both chart, deck, and surveying - they all eventually leak-in air. Here's a tandem cockpit I set up for my daughter in the T160 10 years ago.

I've gone to Silva for my chart compass
(I also have Steiner Navigator glasses with built-in compass display)

Thanks, I will start my search, love the idea, as I am currently trying to navigate with my phone without success during the bright sunlight time.

here's where quoting the post you're referring to would be recommended, so we all can recognize what you're talking about, and possibly generate discussion.
