Hi all, what are your thoughts on using Accuweathers fishing forecast to decide when you fish? I'd like to fish this weekend but Accuweather says the fishing will be very poor south of Houston (1 on a scale from 1-10)

I don't see very much information on that site. From my sites I can see that you will be fine. Just a bit overcast and a bit of wind but not too strong.

Try this site for weather...https://www.wunderground.com/weather-fo ... 54.1.99999

and this one for tides...http://www.tides4fishing.com/us/texas/t ... ning-basin

All the weather info you will need to plan your trip. Enjoy!

I have seen that, but I have no idea what they are using for criteria, and never bothered to compare their forecast with my results.
As my preference is to go when I can, I would go anyway and see what happens.

Personally I prefer WeatherUnderground, especially for a long term forecast. I think it's more accurate than Accuweather.

Don't pay attention to any of these so called weather channels. They are wrong 90% of the time. The only thing I care about is the wind speed and tides. I have had issues finding a reliable source for wind speed until I came across the app, http://wind.willyweather.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; search for the area you like to fish and the data will pop up. I found the wind and tides are accurate. Good luck!
