Newbie to Kayak fishing need guidance.

Hello all,
I am a newbie to kayaking. I have attempted fishing on and off for most of my life without much luck. Recently have started reading on the subject and putting aside some time to actually go out and practice. I recently rented a kayak from SPI and loved the experience of fishing from the kayak. Caught 7-8 trout- couldn't keep them because the were all between 11 and 12 inches but it was a lot of fun catching them. I am looking to tag along with some fishermen to learn. Do not own my own Kayak but starting to research and will purchase one in the next year or so. Anyone in the area that could help with information or if I could tag along with some one in the area with an extra kayak would be willing to buy the bait for the trip.
