hi I'm new to kayak fishing and my wife give this as a present for my birthday she told me that I can go and exchange for something that I like but I like this the problem is that I don't know if is good any suggestion?

First, where are you fishing and what do you plan to catch? The good stuff with fetch $200+ for just a rod or reel but okuma makes decent stuff if your just fishing casually. Decide what you plan to fish for and where then you will know whether to keep it or not. Personally I would exchange it for a finnor reel and buy an ugly stick rod for $60 or so, both will be durable and last you a while and seem to be some of the better offerings at walmart.
