Fish bites???

Post by weapon11 »

Do they really work? I've heard a lot of people using them with success so I picked up some at bass pro shop. Do I use it like cut bait/dead shrimp or like a lure??

I cut them into small pieces and thread them on the hook with my lure to add scent to the lure while fishing with popping corks. Other than that most use I have seen is like dead bait.

I tried it under a cork to no success but after dark fishing on the dike I caught all the cut bait I could want whiting, croaker, sand trout and hard heads fishing it on the bottom like dead shrimp.

Mix with cut or dead bait on bottom and it works well.

In my experience, you can use it like you would dead shrimp. You cant expect it to perform like live shrimp, but you can expect to catch the little greedy fish, and some trout and black drum in the surf.
