KAYAK INFORMATION FOR NEWBIES

Post by SOUTHWESTPADDLESPORTS »

This is Chris at SouthWest PaddleSports and I just wanted to let everyone know that we carry a full line of Hobie, Seda, Cobra, Hurricane Aquasports, LiquidLogic, and Riot. We also have a full fleet of the before mentioned boats for rental. The Hobie line includes the Lanai, Maui, Quest, Kona, and the Mirage boats like the Sport, Outback, Revolution, Outfitter, Adventure and the Adventure Island. The LiquidLogics boats include The Manta Ray in 10', 12', and 14', Tryon, StingRay 12' and 14', the Tuxedo and many more. The Cobra line includes the Explorer, the Navigator, the Fish N Dive, and the Maruader. We also have the Phoenix 120, 130, and 140 by Hurricane Aquasports. We do full outfitting from rodholders to bungees to hatches. We also have lessons and trips for those interested. Feel free to call or stop by with any questions.

SWPS also has the baggy hatch replacement for your Hurricane. Nice addition!

When will you have one of the hobie islanders in for demo. I'm very interested in one if it sails as well as I suspect it does.

I should have two of them in by December. They will be available to rent or demo as soon as they arrive. If you would like to see them I will post when they get to the shop.

The baggy hatch replacement is changeing the original circle hatch to a baggy hatch and we also carry just the bags if you happen to lose yours.

Chris, a buddy of mine is interested in buying kayak but wants to rent one out first and see if he likes it. Do you guys do rentals? if so what are your prices? If you don't, do you know who does? He is mainly intrested in river and lake fishing, so don't know if a SINT would work better. Thanks for the info.

We have tons of rentals, including the full line of Hobie with or without the mirage drive, Cobra, LiquidLogics, and we also have Riot boats like the Trophy which is a great SINK for fishing (has two rodholders and internal tackle box holder. Stop on by and check out the boats in stock and in the rental fleet. If there is one in particular that he is looking to paddle then let me know and I will personally make sure it is there when you need it. If you have anymore questions PM me, call or stop by to see what we have.

The price is $45 for a 24 hour period or $105 for three. This includes lifejacket, paddle, and boat.( if kayak is a SOT model then you also recieve a backrest) The Riot has two flush mounts behind the cockpit and Scotty mount on the front. Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions.
