Hello from South TX

Hello everyone! South Texas here (Rio Grande Valley). Been looking into getting a kayak for fishing. Will be trying one out soon. I just want to get more informed that way I make the right choice if I move forward. I'm 1 hr away from SPI, so it would be used quite a bit! I see this site is full of great info!

Nice! you're going to have a blast. I envy your fishery, you'll get all sorts of fish us north of you don't have. I think snook, grouper, and mangrove snapper will be regular catches for you.

Thanks for the offer Z-Man! I think I'll hit you up on that offer. I was at Port Mansfield 2 weekends in row trying the peer. Nothing was biting! From live bait to soft plastics. I appreciate it.

It was the north pier. Windy it was! I'm looking to get the experience. Anything that you can teach me I'm down wherever.
