New Kayaks
This may start I fight but I have been out of the Kayak fishing game for some time and I was wanting to know what is the best kayak for a guy that is over 300 Lbs and doesn't do a lot of flats fishing. I know back in the day it was Hobie but I also know that things have changed. One other thing I would like to do is go offshare with it and get back into diving out of a kayak (what a good way to no longer be over 300 lbs). Any way I don't want to bet a dead horse but any new Kayaks out there that look better then what was out there 5 years ago is all new to me. http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/foru ... =post&f=50#

You say you don't do a lot of flats fishing. What type of fishing you wanting to do? BTB? River? Rapids? Freshwater lakes?
Lots to consider and figure out what you need.
Give some ideas of where you want to fish (make sure to look ahead becasue you WILL like the kayak a lot) and what type of fish you want to target. Kayaks are made differently for different needs. Long and skinny for long trips or shot and fat for standing.
