First kayak...

Post by In-Yo-Grill »

Got a new to me kayak last summer and let it sit around for a few months. Finally got my arse in gear and got her on the water. My SIL is new to kayaks and new to fishing in general. We had a great time and caught a few fish. Lost a couple of decent ones and it's got me anticipating my return.

It was just nice to get started fishing again. It's too easy to let life get in the way.

Thanks...it's the Sabinal. Want to hit up the Medina in Bandera and Frio in Garner soon.

How do I find other people in my area who might want to fish together?

Is there a regional forum?

A few more pics from the trip.

Got some heavy rain yesterday and it will have to clear up a little before getting out again.

Ask in here and other forums. Introduce yourself, where you live, where you want to fish and when available and plan a few trips of your own and invite others. That is the best way. Ask and they will come!

Hit up some of the river crossings outside of Sabinal going towards Garner.

Thanks...I'm sure I have a lot to learn when it comes to yaks.
