Hobie Adventure 16' - How tight of quarters can it maneuver in ?
I've got a 2015 outback and am considering selling for an adventure island. I plan to go to the darkside and buy a bay boat but I will still be kayak fishing on days I don't want to drag the boat out. Question is, has anyone bought one of the new AIs with the 180 drives and how well can you get it turned around in close quarters? How plausible is it to throw one of the akas on and take it out in the bay for some trout and reds being that it's 16' long?

The Adventure 16' makes a great fishing machine. I just sold mine, but I can vouch for the fishability of the kayak.
It did not have a 180 drive. It did not need one. I just used the paddle to reverse out of any tight spots that the kayak couldn't maneuver out of. An the reality was, for me, that type of paddling was not very often.
PM me if you have other questions.
