New to the forum. New to kayaking.

Post by Slowrie »

Greetings all, new "kayaker" here. Went out in my new Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 today. Took my 9 yr old daughter and my 4 yr old boy with me. My daughter was in an 8' Lifetime Daylite(Daylife?) She did great. That kayak cannot be tipped. They were both standing on it and jumping in the water. I was completely comfortable in my seat in spite of most reviews. Was expecting to have to use more effort after a childhood of rowing canoes and jon boats. All in all it was a great day. Can't wait to fish out of it.

welcome to the addiction.its good to hear your taking the kids with you. Be mindful of the law, i heard a couple people got ticketed by the game warden for having two people in a kayak that's rated for one.
