If you have an Android phone there is an app called SeekDroid. You can install it (.99 cents) and then go to a web page http://www.seekdroid.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and it will show the location of your phone. I use it when I go out fishing and let my gf know the login to the web page so she can see where I am. If I don't come home for some reason it can show the location of my phone at least so they know where to come looking assuming my body is near the phone I keep in a dry box attached to the kayak.
Now this could be used for non-legitimate reasons too I know, but just change your password when you get back if you don't want to be tracked.
Android Phone? Check this out so they know where you are....

OR, you could just wear a PFD and not die.sbursik wrote: If I don't come home for some reason it can show the location of my phone at least so they know where to come looking assuming my body is near the phone I keep in a dry box attached to the kayak.
I can't tell if you're being funny or weird.

I do wear a PFD but it gives her a sense of well being knowing I'm okay and she can see if I'm on my way back in so she doesn't have to call.

You can also use Latitude in Google Maps. It is free.

Sprint also has Family Locator, which will show where your phone is but, as with all services, you must be within a service area and the phone must be powered on.
