Kayak Wars Submissions

Post by yakwestbay »

Hey guys,

My understanding of kayak wars is that fish have to be alive when they're photographed for submission. This seems fine for specks, bass, or even redfish, but I'm a little confused as to how to submit a photo of larger btb fish like sharks, kingfish, or cobia. I've been on the kayak wars site and know that lots of people do it, but any information on how would be appreciated.

Taking a picture of a kingfish or cobia on a ruler shouldn't be a problem. Just take a long ruler with you and throw it in the back of the yak. Shark pictures can be taken while the shark is still in the water. I think the rules say that you have to have part of the kayak showing along with the shark. Many of the shark pictures you will see only have the shark in it though. You can just estimate the length.
