KATS on Lady Bird

Post by Welderdude »

Did anyone fish the tourney on the 21st? I read there were 134 kayaks entered, which is an awesome thing, and also that a 12# 2 ounce bass was caught by a lucky lady. Im wondering what the length on the fish was? If i read correctly she was not entered in the big bass competition, and I'm curious to see how my big girl last year (27") measures up.

Check the FISHKATS website and facebook for a few pics.

Tourney was quite a site. 130+ people hit the bird at 6:45. By the time the morning skull teams left the recreational traffic picked up and it was pretty crowded all day. Tough fishing for most folks, but there were plenty of limits (check the results page on the FISHKATS site).

The big bass was officially just under 27" and 12lbs (pic on facebook).

Great event, cannot wait for Bastrop on the 14th.

Thanks for the info...I didnt know about the CPR record process until after I researched it. My catch was 27" rounded up, caught from the bird easter sunday of 2014. May have to track down the guys who helped me weigh and photograph the beast.
