I did one of these "tournements" a few years back just for fun. Couple of my rules were as follows
1. If you do not feel embarrassed using the rod and reel, then you are disqualified
2. You must post a picture of your fish along with your face in the pic.
3. You must give away the rod and reel to a small child
4. Since its my contest, I can make up the rules as I feel. :)

Biggest Pinfish I ever saw was caught on my Spidey outfit in the Packery channel. Rod bent so much my line dipped couple inches below the rod blank. Lots of buzzing from the drag on my reel. One of the best laughs I ever had fishing.
It was fun.

I was interested to see the pictures of catches with the newer kiddy poles. I started fishing when I was three with a Zebco spin cast setup. Was an actual Snoopy setup with the snoopy bobber. The bobber was lost in a cast that got too close to the fountain at Herman park. I still have the rod and reel too :D
