EZ-E wrote:Hey K,

Here is the rule
"1 or 2 man teams ($300) Any combo of am or pro"

the way i read it you have to pay $300 for "team" no matter if you have a partner or not. So essentially you are your own partner by paying the $300
You're paying the entry, sounds like an excuse to make Thomas fish both with you to me.

It's still early, but windfinder.com is predicting North winds to hit Friday and last through Saturday. Yup, it's tournament season.

The April 2012 tournament had some insane north winds. Don't want to relive that one.

Ha ha. This won't be anything even close to that madness. We had a front hit last year also. It was in the mid 40s when I launched but the temps came up pretty quick. Blew all the water out also. Looks like we'll lose a little water again.

Man am I looking forward to this tournament! This will be my first time fishing the LSKS trail. I read through the rules and whatnot and I just want to make sure I am clear about the no captains meeting. We just launch at 6 fish and meet at the weigh in correct? Also does any one know of a good spot to camp near by? I was just thinking about tenting it somewhere. I would also love to get into some BTB Sunday if the weather is good for it and I can get some guys to join. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and hopefully placing. ~ Walt

Seems like every year we get a curve-ball in the forecast. As long as there is no lightening (which looks like there will not be any) kayakers should be able to tuck back in the marsh and catch reds anyhow. The wind may add some sport into it though. :|

Yes, no captains meetings to attend the night before and launch anywhere within the boundaries with a launch/fish time of 6am. Not sure about the camping deal but I am sure someone will chime in and point you in the right direction.

Damn, that sucks, I think their is camping on the bolivar peninsula but I have to find out exactly where and look at the ferry schedule. I give the state park a call tomorrow just to double check.

I was thinking about camping too. Anyone know if that's doable at 8 mile road and sportsman intersection. If not I guess ill just find a spot on the beach. :)
