Rockport vacation rental
I am thinking of purchasing a home in Rockport for vacation rental. Would love some information from those that might have done the same thing...Did your investment pay off for you?????
Re: Rockport vacation rental
We used Miss Kitty's. Waterfront is the key for rental.

Thanks for the replies!
We are buying a 3/2 home near downtown with bay view. It is 1/2 mile to shopping district, 1 mile to Rockport beach / marina / piers. While the guys are out fishing the ladies can cruise around town in a golf cart. It has to rent 73 nights a year to pay for itself ( that includes utilities ).

Best answer is to go to Miss Kitty's and look at some of the homes for rent. There is a rental calendar for each home showing days open and rented. Out first rental was for the month of February! Granted it was at a reduced winter rate but better than nothing. I would be glad to answer and questions via PM.Rockclimber wrote:What would the average number of weeks a year does it rent on the water vs not?

Stay away from Harbor Oaks. They have a covenant against short term rentals. Can get expensive to defend against this.
