I've never been to Port A and looking to go the weekend after Labor Day.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay? I'd like to stay under $100/night and much cheaper than that will be good too. I'm not one for sleeping in the truck, and I'm hoping to bring a buddy along to alleviate the cost of the trip.
I'll be fishing from the rigs, at least that's my hope. HOPEfully that's a good time of year? If not, then bays and piers.

IT all depends on what you can book and how much you want to spend. I've stayed in Port A in cheap hotels when just fishing or rented some really nice beach front homes when I traveled with family. You might check out VRBO if you want something nice or else just find a cheap hotel. Lots of vacation rentals in Port A, Rockport or even Aransas Pass. I believe Slow Ride's Guide Service had posted a place for rent in Aransas Pass that would put you very close to the kayak park launch spot on 361.
