turkey tenderloins

Post by CaptJack »

we got a new Aldi grocery store in the neighborhood this month
while i was cruising the meat counter i came across these pre-seasoned turkey tenderloins 1.8# $6.
i put them on the OldSmokey, 1-sided indirect for sandwiches
it took 1 hour to get to 160°IT
seriously tasty sandwich

Soooo....a question?? That's a big-ass turkey tenderloin. I've deboned a quite a few chickens and even a couple of turkeys, and I know which part is the tenderloin....but I am wondering how there is such a thing as a 1.8# turkey tenderloin. I can't even imagine one that is a full pound. Did they fuse the tenderloins from each side together or is that from a turkey on super-steroids?

two tenderloins to the package = 1.8# total
