My sister, who lives in Salmon country, gave me this recipe years ago. It is fattening, but oh so good.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. butter
- 1 or 2 cloves garlic (to taste) , crushed
- 4 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 1 slosh Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a small sauce pan and heat over medium/low heat, stirring until everything is well combined. Let cool until it is barely warm. It will thicken quite a bit as it cools, so stir it again just before using it. Brush onto each side of salmon fillets and cook, either in the oven or, preferably, on the grille.

Re: Salmon Basting Sauce
Ya know, for the last 6 months I've become a salmon hound.. Used to never eat the stuff but now I can't get enough of it...
Thanks for posting that recipe because I'm going to give it a try....
