Smoked Wild Hog Ham

Post by Jason21 »

I took some store bought rub and mixed brown sugar 50/50 with the rub. Take about 1/4 cup of honey and rub it over the ham then put on the rub. Let it sit overnight to marinate. I smoked it at 225-250 degrees for 6hrs. After the first 3hrs i wrapped it in foil. It made the best pulled pork sandwiches.

Any suggestions as to how to trap and kill a hog without firearms??? Can not use firearms within the county or state parks.

You cannot take them from state parks anyway. Have to check your county for its rules.

Man, that looks good. Got an old sow we trapped a couple of moths ago and we're finishing her out on corn and Coastal hay.

I can see this recipe in her immediate future.

You can take them from some state parks. Some state parks like San Angelo State Park have a public hunting area where you can take hogs with archery equipment... I've never seen a hog carrying a bow and arrow but when I do, he's going on the pit!!
