Mardi Gras Flies

Post by fishin' »

OK, so where are the Mardi Gras flies??
Keeping with the spirit and intent of the previous post, I think...here are a few that I have tied for the occasion. Maybe can even catch a fish?

Thanks Joe, but it is an adaptation (mutation) of the Bead Eye Roadkill. More along the lines of the Seaducer but with a beadchain head. I think with a little work they might pass for crabs to a hungry myoptic redfish though.

When are we going to the coast?

Fred ... I think you are correct!!! The "morning after Mardi Gras fly" (MAMGF).

It looks like it has had few hurricanes, swapped a few beads for tit shots, threw up in the alley, pissed on the sidewalk, then got arrested for flashing the folks in the balcony only to wake up in the NOPD drunk tank laying next to a nickle!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a night!!!!!!!!!!! Can we do it again tonight?????

GC - That sounded like experience talking

Here comes my first entry into the big parade. For some reason the feathers look blue and yellow in the photos, but I swear they're purple and green. Hell, I went and bought those ugly feathers just for this.

Scott - Honestly, I have never been arrested in Nawlins.

Now that pretty fly looks like its dressed an ready for Mardi Gras and Bill's is definitely the morning after. I think its the same fly with before and after shots!!! Its all fluffed up and ready to go then wakes up with swollen eyes, kinds yellow colored skin, and all the fluff and pretty is long gone!!!!

Bill - I have heard that they sell those beads in Nawlins. I am sure your gf stopped in a souveneir shop and bought those beads. How else would she possibly come by soooooooooooooo many beads!!!!!!!!!

Thats a RIOT!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I see we have VooDoo, VIP, and Uno all ready for Mardi Gras. That is actually some cool looking flies!!!!!! I'm thinking these would catch fish!!! If you stop to think about it, the purple/chart has always been a successful winter time saltwater color combo. Gold anything always has some catch appeal.

I dare yall to catch fish on those flies!!! I bet you can!!!!

Tomorrow, it's off to Hobby Lobby for some real obnoxious feathers, beads, sparkles and anything else I can uncover.
