ugly fly contest

Post by slowride »

this fly was tied by Chip Pitcarin. when he showed it to me i agreed that it was an ugly fly. well it got tucked away behind the pretty flies, so as to not scare away the customers. well, i stumbled across it the other day and figured there was no competition out there as far as ugliness goes. an absolute asthetic displeasure i'm here to tell you. no offense,Chip. so if anyone would like to go toe-to-toe on ugly, let's see it.

and pics with barry in them don't count. 'cuz that's a whole 'nuther class of ugly.

Hey Dean, looks rugged in the vise, but in the water it should "swim" nicely. Tight Loops, AC.

Thats his mid level blue crab pattern. It stays above the grass instead bumping the bottom. I bet it works!!!

My first Voodoo Child would have scared the short off a pigmy, I am afraid to photograph it for fear of breaking my camera and the terror it would cause women and children. But, I still keep it around to remind me of the progress I've made.

Hey Dean, Let the Games Begin
I’ve got two submissions. The first one will sour milk and stop the Chickens from laying. The second one isn’t much prettier. HA!!!!!!!!!

I call that fly "Chip's Butt Ugly" not to be confused with Chip's ugly butt, which is a whole different discussion.

Dean, I have to admit those are some BAAAD looking flies. So, how many reds have you caught on the upper one?

I checked out Barry's picture of Dean at the tying desk. And he's worried about my fly scaring the customers?

Hey Joe
Man, that's one contest I wouldn't want to have to judge. Either one of them will stop the chickens from laying. (ROFLOL)
