I haven't posted in a long time. Thought these pics might encourage some of you to get out even in the heat.
I was in AP for most of the first 3 weeks of June. The tides were running a foot higher than predicted but there is always shallow water somewhere. Getting to it can be difficult but when we found shallow water, less than 1', we found fish.
Mostly black drum but maybe 20% of what I caught were reds. All fish were caught sight casting with the fly rod in what was previously cow pastures or parking lots.

thanks for posting - very nice photos.
I've always found the lakes fish really well all summer, of course you have to fish on the rising tide.
