I used to tie a variation on my whistlers that used a long stinger hook in the rear, and an opposed shorter keeling hook for the head. It was a killer flounder lure when tied with size 6 salt hooks.
On the freshwater version, I used size 10 Tiemco 200R in the back and size 10 dry fly hook in the front. I jokingly called it the velcro fly.
One day I gilled a bass with both hooks, and never tied another.
