Fun to look back a 35 years and see what all has changed, and what hasn’t.

Memories!

About a hunnert fifteen years ago, I had a casting lesson from Chico. He was the most 'casual' caster I had or have ever seen. The method he taught me has stood me well all of these years.

He was no youngster at the time, but he could put a line out there over 90 feet with a movement that most use for a twenty foot cast.

It isn't against copyright to post it? Just checking to make sure you don't have any problems. I for one don't care and thank you for posting. I was just thinking out loud.

Loved the article. A DVD of him casting put me on a path to casting well enough to catch those fun redfish. Thanks for the memories.

pretty cool - redfish didn't get a lot of respect in the fly fishing rags back then

also cool that he talked about eating fish - try that today on most fly fishing boards and you're a murderer - on some boards (with poor photo skills) taking their photo makes you a murderer.

Every time I read "Chico Fernandez" I always hear Flip Pallot saying it in my head. Is that weird?

Cool article.
