I found a tiny spot holding some nice reds yesterday and left them biting in hopes that I could get my buddy on a fish today.
Well danged if it didn't work. He has been here a week and only caught fish on the first and last day. Maybe he needs to stay two days next time then the first and last days are closer together.
He was thrilled and I was too. 26.5" on a black spoon fly.
Saved some yesterday for a bud and it worked out

Now that's a good deal

You're a good buddy. We caught nothing at Port O Connor yesterday.

Water was a sort of cloudy. Still could see 15" deep though. The reds had gone very pale to hide on the white mud. You could barely pick them out and sometimes they were with 15' of us.
Black spoon fly will also, sometimes, work for black drum when they are cruising around.
