Buchanan Striper/Hybrid in Dock Lights

Post by texasproud11 »

Going to a friends lake house that has a lighted dock that just teems with striper and hybrids at night. Any recommendations on how to catch these bad boys on a fly and what to throw?

Clousers, scissor tails, just about any bait fish pattern. Just a few from the lights on Inks Lake, Tuesday before thanksgiving 2010. Lol where else can you wear shorts and a sweatshirt in November at night?

Great! I've got some clousers! Any colors you like for night fishing or does it matter?

Black. Sounds wrong, but you are creating a silhouette against the light.

Grey And White, Chartreuse And White have always worked for me, both off the lights and during the day.
