I'll be in La Porte for 5 days next week for work and was wondering if anyone knows of any spots to fish without a kayak? (Fresh or salt)

Sylvan Beach has a pier you can pay to fish from. Never fly fished there though...only with a spinning reel. I'm sure there are other spots for the bay in La Porte as well.
