SOLD
This rod was rebuilt by my buddy Rob Sherill of Dallas, and I bought it from him many years ago.
it's 7-1/2' 5-wt, 2-pc rod with 2 tips.
It's a very sweet, impregnated cane, semi-para-taper 5-wt., and a pocket rocket.
I've probably fished it a dozen times, and it's a very nice small water/big fish rod.
A really good hill country rod, and a good length for a kayak.
Brass British ferrules in perfect condition, Mildrum stripper. This rod has no problems or bad habits, and it has Rob's nice work.
The downlocking reel seat is alloy, with nice thick sections. It will take up to 2-1/2" reel foot.
It balances very well with a 4-5 oz. reel.
Kind of a make-do felt sock and South Bend cardboard tube with a cap that works.
It's probably one of the Norm Thompson or Lee Wulff rods. In the later days of Leonard, they were importing Farlow's impregnated blanks to build the Leonard Duracane rods. This is an opportunity to own a near-enough Duracane at a bargain price.
Asking $325 OBO, shipped Priority insured. (I've packed and shipped a few rods...)
Please contact by board pm, and feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks for looking !!!
