Toothpick Crab Fly

Post by kickingback »

Made this one by gluing about 15 toothpicks side to side and coated with epoxy.
Sanded and shaped to desired dimensions.
Use 2 fabric pins with plastic heads for eyes.
Cut legs, claws and under body from 2mm foam.
Used #2 long shank saltwater hook.
Glued body parts, eyes, and hook sandwiched between the toothpick upper body and foam under body.
Acrylic paint and epoxy.
Will test for slow sink-ability and add bead wieghts to hook bend as needed.
