Post by cutbaitqueen »

sbe12g and I spent Sunday on Stubblefield Lake. The weather was perfect! I took a lot of great pics and wanted to share a few with everyone. Enjoy! :D

Highly recommend this place to paddle if you just want to get away from it all.

This old tree stump caught my eye and I had to take a picture of it.

no fish were caught or harmed during kayaking session. although i did piss off a pretty big carp....gave me a wet scare. we did see a sow with piglets along the bank. they sounded like a freight train coming through the palmettos. all in all it was a quiet and peaceful retreat from the rat race.

Those pictures are actually in the tributary dumping into Stubblefield/North Lake conroe. Very peaceful place, although I've not had too good of luck fishing there recently :(
