Does anybody know where I can find some catfish in the Austin area?

The best luck I've had fishing for catfish was at Decker Lake. A buddy of mine and I went out there one night with a bucket of "punch bait". You can buy it at the little bait shop by the lake. We anchored about 20 yrds off the reeds then casted up close to them, tight-lining. By midnight we had all the catfish our families could eat. Another good tip is to take a some sour mash feed (or whatever it's called) and soak it in beer in a bucket out in the sun all day (keep the lid on the bucket). When you get there, toss it all over with your hand as far as you can all the way up to the boat/kayak. My buddy is a great catfisherman and knows all the tricks.
