In theory, if I were to stock a pond, already inhabited by bass, with one of the following, which one is best?: Redfish or Wiper?

Re: Pond stocking question
hmmm
They stock redfish in brackish Calaveras Lake, and wipers in deep impoundments like Lake Georgetown and LBJ.
I don't think you could expect them to get big in a pond.
But largemouth will get to 10 lbs in a pond, and the recent pending world record red-ear is 6.3 lbs.

I wouldn't try redfish. Expensive and likely won't work unless the pond is a 5 acre lake. Bass is your best bet. You could stock catfish if the pond is big enough to support both.
