Just went on a 18 mile trip down the Guadalupe. It was too much for 2 days, should have stretched it to 3 days. Not too many fish but beautiful travel.
Tough river with lots of technical turns and twists.

Thanks for Sharing. I10 to James Kiehl River Bend Park is on my list of 1 day trips this year.
Re: Guadalupe from Comfort to Sisterdale
We couldn’t find an overnight place to put the cars for a take out there. A one day sounds really nice.
It’s a beautiful river.

Yeah, can't leave a vehicle at James Kiehl. I'm not even sure where you can safely leave a vehicle in Waring or Zoeller Ln without worrying about being towed.

@ only around 60-70 CFM i'm sure this was a bit of a slow float. still looked like a fun trip. i wonder how much the freeze impacted the fishability of the shallow river in this area.

You can park on the shoulder of any state roads - FM, RR, SH - the only jurisdiction to tow you are Kendall County roads.Neumie wrote:Yeah, can't leave a vehicle at James Kiehl. I'm not even sure where you can safely leave a vehicle in Waring or Zoeller Ln without worrying about being towed.
We're also parked at the diner in Waring, with the owner's permission and a promise to eat when we returned.

Waring sounds like a great option. We should have done that for more fishing.
Great river and fantastic time
