Are there alligators in Braunig lake?

Just curious to know. I don’t feel comfortable around them with kids

Fished that lake for decades and never saw any!
Don't worry about gators, but there are plenty of harmless water snakes you will end up seeing out there.
There is supposed to be a gator or two at Calaveras down the road from Braunig, but I have yet to see it with my own eyes.
I've fished in the Nueces and Choke Canyon where there are more than the number of fishermen on the lake and nobody has been eaten yet.
Leave them alone and give them space if you see one and you'll be fine!

One day in the late 80s, we were wading Cavaso Creek, traveling down in aluminum semi-vee.
On the way out, a Game Warden was wrestling and releasing a 10' gator.
Yep, this is where we bring all the gators we noose in Goose Is. SP...

Maybe the tarpon grew big enough to eat them Gators?

Thanks! This is what I figured. I did hear about the calaveras alligator. I too remember a tarpon in braunig a long long time ago.
