It's been many years since a group of us 'Deliverence Raced' to the water through what was probably private land; so in order to avoid trespassing charges now can anyone tell me if there are any public roads to launch locations less than a day's paddle upstream from Columbus? I noticed Zapalac Rd and Burnham Ferry Rd...is access allowable there? If not other suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Colorado River Access
I know Zapalac is a private ramp.
Here's a guide from the LCRA: https://www.lcra.org/parks/Pages/river-guide.aspx
Brandt River Bottom Rd and Thousand Trails RV are the only two access points I know of between La Grange and Columbus.

Thousand Trails charges you about $6 to access their ramp.
Brandt Bottom is about 20 miles upstream so it is usually a two day paddle.. also it is a very rough access since harvey
