Fun in the Country...

Had a chance to go fish a friends big pond / small lake and caught a ton. Even though I left the yak behind, I thought I'd share since you might be like me this time of year- sitting around inside where its warm and dry watching fishing videos... Enjoy! :D

I need a friend with a lake like that! What’s the biggest bass you guys pulled in?

5.5 lbs that day... Owner said he's got bass lots bigger. Hope to find out some time :)

I’ve seen photos of big bass coming from not very big ponds. I love bank fishing a pond. I always feel like whatever’s in there, I have a reasonable shot at putting the lure or whatever in front of it. I don’t always feel that way on big bodies of water.

5.5 pounds is great for a small lake/big pond. That same fish will gain some weight with the roe come early spring. http://bassblaster.rocks/science-weight-gain-spawners
