Feyettville Report

Post by hoghunter14 »

 I set out to fish the upper end of Fayetteville county reservoir to gain some confidence fishing fresh water as I fish primarily salt. I hit all the coves on the northern end to see if I could find any bait or grass. I found plenty of grass but very little bait around it. The best cove I found was just at the launch and was holding some shad. I hooked up with one decent bass all day but its still better than being at work. Go check out the rod review at www.justonemorecastblog.com.

Well done Sir! The bass are there near the launch but I found the best bites are in the far east cove around the trees and by the discharge on the SW corner. Caught some nice ones in there, even my 5.5 lb best. Launching from Oak Thicket it's a 2 mile stretch to the far east cove but worth the trip. Fish all the coves along the way and you will be glad you did!
