If you haven't loaded gear in a while, be careful what lurks within. I was adjusting seat straps when I almost put my hand on this lovely lady. Definitely would have put a damper on my trip tonight.

I haven't found in black widows at my place yet. But I have plenty of brown recluses, wasps, and in the Fall, asps. I keep my kayaks outside, so the first thing I do when I pull one off the rack is perform a thorough inspection for any hitchhikers.
