San Marcos River below Luling
Anybody familiar with it? One of my fishing buddies is transferring to Gonzales, and we will be doing some RV trips to Palmetto State Park. Wondering what the river fishes like there, and what water clarity to expect there.

Re: San Marcos River below Luling
I go out to Palmetto a few times a year and have checked out the San Marcos every time. But for some reason, I've never fished it. It's usually a milky green and has plenty of log jams for cover. Lots of turtles and I'm told catfish. Also, look out for the monster that lives in the Ottine Swamp and surroundings!!
