Canoeyaking on a sandy creek

Loaded the canoe and a kayak paddle and made the drive up north of Huntsville yesterday in search of white bass. Found a few. I also saw five gators, extra small, small , medium sized. The larger gators were hanging out in the best fishing spot. I wonder if they too were catching a few of the spawning bass?
