Hey Ray I bet there is some way to make a fly popper with legs like those on his frogs....Harold Ray wrote:Here is the FROG website; check out the frogs and their prices: http://www.floridakayakfishing.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Frog Lures
Larry,
Lately I've been tying these woven Horse Hair flies with Elk Hair wings on a #2 Mustad 34007 hook. The light wasn't what I wanted it to be, but its the best I had at the time. After I saw the frogs, I wondered what I could do with a frog. I've got a friend in Louisiana who actually does make some great frogs, and they aren't that hard, but it takes dremelling foam, and I just haven't gotten excited about that yet:
And, here are some of my poppers, but...................................................................no frogs, ......yet:

Re: Frog Lures
That would be an easy job, Larry. I think I will try that and see how they look. I just bought a wire twister; I know I can attach the legs. It would be neat to make them changeable.

Re: Frog Lures
ALways work the lure up to the yak, I would be saying a lot more than he did if a bass that big hit my lure that hard that close . How do you guys get the popper body on the hook, just glue it on really good.
Ray, that is one hell of a collection you have going on there.
