Hey folks,
I'm staying with the family on the Guadalupe in New Braunfels over Labor Day weekend. Does anyone have ideas about where some good fishing might be near the area?
Thanks,

The guadelupe has tons of places to float and fish. But if you can drive a few miles (15-20), I hear the San Marcos River from the city park to Martindale has some of the best fishing in the area. I have not floated it yet but I have visited with several who fish it regularly & love it. Rumor has it that that stretch of river has some very large & aggressive bream as well as some nice bass. Also, check Ken's Flyfishing Website ( http://jollytime.net/flyfishtx/) or the book Flyfishing the Texas Hill Country. It is an excellent guide to the rivers with info on access points.
