Was in Frio county this morning and took my first buck. I have always shot does and could have taken a buck or two over the years but never did. But today I figured why not. Dressed out at 95#, 2.5 yrs old. Good and healthy. I am 6'4" and 275# which never makes for a good picture with a deer unless it's a big mule. They just look so much smaller. There is a huge 12 + out where I was and I saw him at 5:00am walking to my stand. Her stood frozen and watched me walk, I had one of those flashlights that straps to your head, beautiful deer. He'll be around for a while. I have no intrest in taking him but he is really an amazing looking deer.
